i'm a type a perfectionist who strives to shed this role to become the bohemian wanderlust that i know is hiding in my heart. (it hasn't happened yet). thankfully my hubby happily assumes this role for the both of us and we balance each other out.
i met the man of my dreams in 2006 while attending school at uc santa barbara. we met at my pink princess birthday party when i was a platinum blond sorority girl and he was a laid back lacrosse player, both without a care in the world. we fell in love over red wine, homemade dinners, and long conversations that lasted until the early hours of the morning in a house that was shared with 10 other roommates (oh, college).
we called ourselves the king and queen and our life together started by waking up at 11 am or later just to skip class and sit on our balcony overlooking the ocean while sipping mimosas and musing about the going ons of "our kingdom".
we married in the summer of 2010 at a private elementary school in san diego. he is the kindest man i have ever known.
we have that once in a lifetime kind of love and from that came our little love child. a few months after our wedding, we discovered we were expecting and the very next summer, we welcomed holden james into the world. he arrived with bright blue eyes, rosebud lips, milky skin, and a golden heart and he rocked our worlds. no one could have prepared us for the indescribable amount of love that we feel for this little boy who has stolen our hearts. he has changed and shaped our lives in ways we could never have imagined.
august is my lucky month. i married the love of my life on august 7, 2010 and gave birth to my golden boy on august 22, 2011. i'm waiting to see what august 2012 holds in store for me.
